Another weekend going way too fast...
Pleased that I got my quarterly reports done last Thursday, a few days before the deadline. Hopefully things will finally start lightening up at work!
Happiness is books in the mail. Yay Amazon!
I got my Federal tax refund the middle of last week, so this weekend I was able to get my $357 Use Tax paid and have all the taxes over and done with, yay!
This week was my first Sunday morning outing in quite a while. Went to Afton State Park, and though I only walked a miserly 4 miles (6.4 km) it felt half again as long since a fair chunk of it was walking on paths of ice! I expect I will be feeling it on Monday. But I was more than amply rewarded when I came out of the cover of the trees at one point, and looked up to see LOTS of migrating raptors in the sky, following the St Croix River northward. They were moving fast, and the adult Bald Eagles were the highest of all, so my photos won't take any rewards for clarity but it was really neat to see them, and in numbers as well. What a treat! (the bird in the middle photo is an immature Bald Eagle, and they were flying lower and easier to get.)
