Recent good stuff:
I got a treat going home on New Year's Eve on the 6:10 pm bus. Not only did I have that entire huge coach bus entirely to myself, but my ride was free! (And the driver skipped the first park and ride and drove straight to where my car was.) I've never ridden a bus late enough on New Year's Eve to qualify for a free ride before--NICE!
On New Year's Day, got out to my local movie theater for the first time. It's only 1.5 miles/2.4 km from my home. Pretty nice, though they don't sell mozzerella sticks, which is probably a good thing! And I got to see 'The Hobbit' for my third time, yay! The only bad side was that laughing with a busted back is really not a good experience.
Despite all the back pain and moving so slowly with lots I can't do, I did manage a little progress on 'TFE' on Tuesday evening, for which I am very glad.
I'm very grateful to my aunt and uncle for telling me about Thermacare and how that's helped my uncle with his back. I was able to get some after work on Wednesday, and the long workdays have also been better for my back rather than all the stairs and things low down I have to deal with at home. Now, a week after it started, it is finally heading in the right direction, hallelujah!
I'm sure he was happy to skip a stop and be done sooner!
Yes, today I did not wear a Thermacare, and it is definitely mending. Still can't walk that fast, however. At least getting off the toilet is a lot less miserable!
I will be at work all day tomorrow, so don't even try calling.
Walking to the bus stop Friday the 28th. The snow was deeper than I expected because of the plows throwing it onto the paths, and my laptop bag was probably running 18-20 pounds because I had extra stuff in it. I'd already strained my back, and that was too much for it to handle.
