It has been a really horrible awful week work-wise, but there have been some good things:
Brutal cold on January 22 as I hiked up to the capitol to take part in the March for Life (I think my 15th consecutive year). I was praying the wind would stop and alleviate the -20 wind chills, but God granted one better--we had the rally INSIDE the capitol itself! What a blessing, and a treat as well to see it, as I haven't been inside since high school days.
Got a little perk in the form of a $5 coupon toward lunch at any of the vendors located in my employer's buildings. All part of celebrating reaching 1 trillion dollars of insurance in force. The fake trillion dollar bills with the coupon they passed out were really cute too!
Getting to stand around in park and ride lots waiting for buses at subzero temps appears to be good for my brain, as I finally figured out the ending sections of the t'DoL/Shado comic I've been mulling over for a few months. (As one morning was -10 and one -13, I've had a bit more fun with the 'smoking face' phenomenon of late.)
I probably won't get a weekend at all, but no week can be utterly rotten when my mom's fruitcake is involved! It tastes fabulous! =D
