Today I'm glad for:
The beautiful sunrise on the way to the airport yesterday.
That my ears didn't bother me with flying while sick. I had that distinctly unpleasant experience in 2000, I'm glad it didn't happen yesterday!
That the flight where the gate was changed at the last minute and sent us all scurrying across the airport to then stand around and get off late was the second flight, not the first. Didn't have to worry about missing my connection!
It was neat to see sunset and twilight over a sheet of fluffy clouds, and night gathering in the east during our descent.
My welcome back to Minnesota was to slip on the sheet of ice in front of my front door and go splat, much to the horror of poor Joe, who'd warned me about it 45 seconds earlier. I may have a new bruise on my elbow, but that was just plain funny. I'm also glad for my side door, where it is not icy. ;)
I don't have much catching-up to do with either photo-naming or journaling, and I got a lot of unpacking done last night. (Though I'm dreading the mountain of mail to pick up Monday.) Had loads of fun reading from book 4 on the plane flights and at my parents' home and mine this weekend...now just to pace myself with catch-up work and preparation until I can launch back into book 4 New Year's Eve or a little later... =)
Glad you got to see one too.
Just have to write the last journal entry now (I didn't have time for the zoo day) and then I'll be caught up with all things unpacking, journal, and photo-related. =)
The cats were very happy to get out of their room. They were pretty wound up all evening. I slept with Arun, so Shado had screaming fits in the cat room roughly every two hours all night. Hopefully things will be quieter with them both out tonight!
