Simply lovely first half to the weekend:
Kathy at work loaned me a couple books to read, so now I have quite a selection before it's back to library requests.
Been pounding on book 4 chapter 37 all week (and been glaring and picking at it since early December), and I finally got it to the point where I don't want to throw it in the nearest bonfire. That is a relief--got it pdf'ed for the ARG! on Saturday, and now what remains with book 4 is whole-book edits. Moving along!
Happy to finish the Delarun avatar that I started making on Tuesday. Had a little trouble at the end with getting it under 40 kb, but at least I didn't have to do too much butchering. Nice to have a 'book-trailer' that's comparatively simple.
And, the crown of the weekend definitely was getting to start on writing 'The Chronicles of Delarun.' It felt a little strange to be writing Geren in the prologue set shortly after the close of book 5--an 8 month leap ahead of where I left him at the close of book 4. But it will be even more fun to go back in time and start on the first section.
Can't forget to mention how wonderful it was to get some book 4 chapter feedback! Helped yank my brain out of its chapter 37-myopic-focus rut, and garner a little more enthusiasm for tackling whole-book edits this week. =)
