Wow, what a day!
The treats started with my walk to the bus stop. Got out of my apartment to see the first rays of dawn lighting the treetops, but not yet the ground. Due to the way the clouds were, the light was very rich and brassy in hue. Just gorgeous!
Signed off on the sheet at work--Access 2007 testing is complete, and I did most of it. Also glad for a break before tackling Windows Vista testing (and the company delaying their schedule), as that will be much more hairy.
Lunch with Christi Monday, which is always nice. Spent half of it talking about book 4, because she got confused with chapter 21. It was fun hearing how she'd thought of calling so she wouldn't have to wait all the way until Monday to keep reading!
And then another treat after I got home, in the form of a delightful e-mail from Christina (sorry I haven't gotten to answer it yet) about their progress with book 4. They're already up to chapter 26! I can't help but be massively flattered, since they're reading it aloud, and have four young kids to work around! *hugs*
I was out running errands all evening, but the reward was a simply glorious sunset to savor. Wish I'd brought my camera along!
A blessing at Walmart, in the form of help from two employees when I came to pick up on 40" hdtv I'd ordered online to be delivered there. They helped me wedge it in my car, and it was not easy--the box was just a trifle too thick. Also very grateful I was able to get it OUT of my car alone and into my apartment. It was not small!. It was already quite late, but I got it set up on my new stand though it won't be until tonight that I hook up my new dvd player, etc and try it out. Feels strange to finally have it, I've only been planning and preparing since January!
Last but not least, since I haven't inflicted a picture of myself on the world in a while (sorry about the bad lighting) here's me headed off to Sunday Easter service..
