Friday had high points at beginning, middle, and end.
Had a Vue render running overnight, and was actually able to finish my 'Defender' in-story illustration this morning before work. I'm sure some people will say it's too dark, but I'm quite pleased with how it came out.
Lunch was a fantastic treat! Shelley took me out for 'Administrative Professionals Week.' I picked Kincaid's--never been there before, and we drooled over the menu for days in advance. Well, even the drooling didn't match the reality! I got their 'Housemade Veggie' burger with quinoa, black beans, roasted mushrooms, hazelnuts, smoked Gouda, guacamole...and onion rings on the side! And their guacamole was the best I'd tasted in my life--the avocados were stupendous. It was a fantastic treat, though I won't put here the little toast she had prepared for me--far too flattering/embarrassing! We both had a fantastic time.
Last, but not least, made my slightly ambitious editing quota for tonight and am pleased with my start to the weekend. Now for a sleeping pill, so I can make up for last night's roasting non-sleep!
She's a neat person! She's talking about having me and Kathy, etc over for a barbeque this summer. It would be nice to see her house, the gardens her husband keeps, and those three spoiled dogs I hear about daily!
Glad to hear you're cooling off. Enjoy it! I'm glad to be done with 80 for a bit. And we need the rain.
