First, the weather! The entire week was cool, pretty cloudy, and occasionally rainy--just what we needed, and just perfect for sleeping and writing (even if we were going on all the time at work about 'nap weather.')
Thanks to fewer distractions, I was able to get some writing done on my lunch break THREE days during the workweek! *pinches herself* Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. And thanks to that, I got the fourth section of 'Great Wave' written in only two days--pretty much record speed for me for a workweek!
My Friday morning in-bed revelation was a blessing, as I was stumped as to how to do a portion of the illustration for the fourth section of 'The Great Wave' (so I'd skipped ahead and done the one for the fifth section that week whilst floundering). Thursday evening I'd checked every single object I had in Vue, and was afraid I'd have to get online and buy something that I'd probably never use again...until that flash of insight Friday morning about something in Poser I had that might work perfectly. And so it did--thank you, God! =D
Work was really slow for 'my' fiche converters Friday (even though Dawn was off) so on a whim we all took off to Mickey's Diner for a long lunch. A nice reprieve. I think these lunches are helping me stay sane after four months of work with only one day off (and no holidays since New Year's). Just a few weeks more to hang on until Memorial Day, thank God!
