Quite a day today, for two reasons.

The first being that our company actually opened two hours late due to the weather! That's never happened in my 9ish years working there. (And apparently they let out at 3:30 yesterday, but if I hadn't been off, I'd have just had to kick my heels waiting for the bus anyway).

As it was, they didn't post the announcement until 6:30-7:30 (depending on who is asked) and of course I didn't even check for it. So I was there as usual right at 7:30.

Amusing mood of near-mutiny among the early folks (those that showed up from 4:30 to 6:30) that never had a chance at knowing about it. My boss managed to placate them, at least somewhat! Means nothing to me, as my limited bus service prevents me from coming in late or leaving early...and I am NOT driving in this weather!

Secondly, I got my PSP today! A delicious $866.48...but it's amazing how fast it disappears. $300 into savings for a future plane ticket, $100 for my Vue upgrade, and $200 for God. (I had asked Him which nonprofit I should give it to, and wondered if I should send it to the third nonprofit I hope to kick off regular donations to this June...then when I got home that day I found something in the mail from them, though how they knew I existed I can't fathom. Prayer answered!) So it's down to 266.48 already, and that remnant will be partly engulfed by getting Arun's teeth scaled at the vet.

Even though it disappears in a jiffy, I'm still very glad to have received it. Thank you, God!

How much snow did you get? How did she placate them?

As much as 17 inches in places, according to WCCO. It's impossible for me to estimate, since there's the batch from last week below it, and then lots of blowing and drifting. It's been snowing lightly almost all day today, but more wind than anything.

My boss is giving them each a certificate for an hour of comp time. I'm sure they'd have wanted TWO hours, but they'll have to take what they can get!

Good! It's nice to have it put away so I don't have to worry about that later.
