Ah, what a weekend!
Firstly, thank God for goals met! The last three months have all been focused on driving toward the double goal of having 'Defender' ready for Christina's birthday and The Great Wave ready for Mother's Day. Many were the times I thought I didn't have a chance of actually making it. I'm grateful I didn't give up but kept stubbornly persevering, and I'm grateful God answered my prayers and I hit the finish line just in time!
The whole rest of the month is going to feel so relaxed in comparison. No more deadlines, no big goals. Just doing what I can do before June. Yay!
Happy that at least 3 of the 4 Mother's Day cards I sent out got there in good time. Nice when they're not late!
My church had a bake sale fundraiser on Sunday, so I sacrificed a little celebration cash to get some brownies for my coworkers. I'm grateful that I managed to keep my hands off them all day Sunday, and that they tasted great today.
Today's 2nd-novella-completion-celebration entailed treating myself to a Jimmy John's veggie sub for lunch. Been craving one since winter ended, and mmmm, it was delicious!
Happiness is--goodies in the mail from Amazon.com!
If you're wondering if the Mother's Day card you sent got here on time, it did! (I told your mom about it but haven't told you yet! Sorry!) It was such a sweet, thoughtful card... and a sweetly thoughtful thing to do in the first place, dear sister-in-law! Thank you!
Glad you can "sit back and relax" a bit, now! ;)
