Happiness is...

A Federal tax return. At $28 it's small, yes, but any amount is lovely. I used to owe them every year; now things appear to be shifting. Tomorrow I shall hash out my State taxes, and since I can include my charitable contributions there, I'm expecting something delicious...

Happiness is also blue flowers. Yes, I'm a hopeless addict when it comes to blue flowers. Whether it be blue morning glories, blue lobelia, blue delphinium, blue pansies, virginia bluebells *sniff*, blue brunnera (forget-me-nots), the blue evolvulus I grew last year...

Or something completely new: blue petunias.

Yep, bought mine today. They won't get shipped until May, but I wanted a spot in line lest they sell out...

I check out the blue petunias. They are beautiful. But alas they do not ship to CA.

Burpee ships plants to your zone in early April, I think. But I noticed CA is fussy about what they allow, though not near so bad as Arizona!

I'm looking forward to having them and taking photos!

Those are beautiful, and if I thought they would grow here I'd get a planter and plant them outside my apartment. But I don't think they'd survive between all the kids, cats, dogs, and other animals in the area. Do take pictures of your blue garden and let us see it.

Yeah, I remember looking out the window once and seeing one of the neighbor's kids wrenching up handfuls of my moss roses and proudly trotting over to (a dismayed) mom to show off his find. ;)

My color theme this year is purple, blue, and white--hopefully I'll have something photo-worthy!
