Sunday brought Father's Day and the first day of summer.
It was fun walking around inside and outside my uncle's home taking pictures and enjoying the breeze that kept the mosquitoes away.
I just love the big map my uncle has of the region.
My uncle has a hummingbird feeder right outside a window, so I enjoyed 'stalking' it in the morning until I got a photo.
The bulk of the day was the two hour drive up to visit my uncle's ex-wife's sister and her husband, and one of my uncle's daughters came as well, with her kids. (It was a treat to have my uncle do all the driving, and me none at all.) So, while Saturday added Virginia to my list of states I've been to; Sunday brought my first visits to Maryland and Delaware. What a treat!
Best of all, the delight of having my aunt ask questions about book 4/my Geren books during the long car rides. She's up to page 150 already!
Hummingbird! Looks like your uncle has found himself a great place to live. ^-^
How many states do you still have to visit before you've visited them all? (And do you plan to? Because I'd imagine some of them might be completely out because of the weather.)
He certainly has! I've gotten photos/video of a female ruby-throated now as well. It's way too fun to have them around like that.
Oh, goodness, far too many! I think I've only done 17 or so...oh, wait there's Iowa too. And New Jersey. ;P Really, I'd just love to see every state west of the Mississippi, excluding Hawaii. I more keep a mental list of 'dream states' I'd love to visit than anything else.
And yes, Texas and Louisiana really don't appeal because of the weather issue. Only winter visits, please.
