Recent small delights:
Finally bought tickets for paying a visit to family in Sacramento. Nice to have that dealt with and settled--the days are Wednesday, November 4th through Tuesday, November 10th.
Friday evening I got to watch the first episode of season two of Star Trek: Enterprise and get off that cliffhanger I've been stuck on since before my mom's visit. Felt great! And I'm so excited to get back into watching, it will be a great discipline-tester to spread the season out over the next seven weekends. Can't be wasting too much time on tv during writing season, after all!
A wonderful night of sleep with a sleeping pill--made it to almost 7:30 this morning.
Lastly, the wonderfulness of having orange juice around to drink in the morning again. Yum!
Lucky you; I haven't had orange juice as part of breakfast for close to a year now.
Which Enterprise cliffhanger were you stuck on for awhile? I have been trying to keep track of the series, but when push comes to shove and I get really busy, I tend to fall back on the comforts of the original series. ;)
Awww, you poor deprived creature, you! ;) I just have to have OJ in the mornings, but at least I don't require anything else, like coffee, tea, or soda/pop/coke/whatever-its-called-in-you
What do you drink instead?
The cliffhanger at the end of season one, which was pretty sadistic. That's why I'm glad for a Netflix account, as I'd never run my life to a tv schedule. Got to enjoy 'Heroes' season 1 and all of 'Avatar' that way too.
But I have a couple seasons of the original series and the animated episodes around as well!
Next Generation was incredibly easy for me to get into; I never have and probably never will get into DS9. No idea why; there was just something about the series that unsettled me. It just felt very...un-Star Trek-like?
I really should give Next Generation another try sometime, since I've enjoyed some of the movies and I like Picard.
Heh, for me, Star Trek=exploration, and sitting in orbit around a black hole/singularity/whatever-it-was just wasn't the same. ;)
