Answering Beth's comment on my last post made me realize I had made my 5th book avatar ten months ago already--so I'm glad that post was the perfect opportunity to finally use it, before it hit a whole year!
Tuesday night's writing progress was great: finished chapter 4 and passed the 20k mark at the same time. Good excuse for Trader Joe's Spicy Cider and some mozzarella sticks, I think!
And today was more feasting. The Corporate Areas lunch fundraiser for the United Way drive was today, and I had been anticipating getting my mouth on Sarin's fabulous egg rolls for weeks. And it was good. I bought two, and then she gave me one extra because I was one of a bunch of people in my department who contributed toward her making more this year (so they sold out in 45 minutes rather than 15-20!). And Shelley's beef stew was almost as good as my mom's, if I may say it. And then there was the bake sale too, so I've got chocolate cookies to (try to) stretch out over a few days. Yum, yum, yum!
One of the bags I bought has chocolate-chip raspberry cookies, nice variation!
Though I didn't get to have it, Jodi made 'Bean Dish' (she had a different name for it) for her contribution. She said it was easy to make...because her dad took care of the meat and bacon part while she was doing something else! (I told her how you didn't like that part)
