Gratitudes:

I survived the workweek! I survived the workweek and didn't kill anybody! I made it to the weekend! (Still can't quite believe it, really. And this had BETTER be the worst workweek of 2010, it'd BETTER.)

Thank God my boss gave me an extension on the PA (performance appraisal) write-ups for 'my people.' Because with having to cover Corey's complete job all week (while he was in the Bahamas) and try to finish up monthly reports, and try to cover my job and all the projects that keep getting thrown at me--oh, can't forget trying to help out with scanning work also--well, I only had time to think about the Feb 12th deadline in horror, and nothing more. So I'm grateful I got a week's extension, though it's looking like next week will almost be as bad as this one.

Grateful I got my own PA write-up done by the deadline--that hardly ever happens! (I'm so tired that I can't even rouse much loathing for my least-favorite task of the year!) And I was amused to no end that four of my coworkers left it for the last day as well and were taking turns at the shared pc and asking me how to put attachments on their reply e-mails all day long! And I'm grateful again for this wonderful place. I'm so run down by the blizzard of duties at work I can't remember what I did last week, let alone my accomplishments of 2009. Once again, wonderful 'shouts of joy' has saved me!

Considering nearly every spare waking minute of my existence has been spent plowing away at journal rereading, I'm grateful I didn't come down with a nasty case of eyestrain until Friday morning. I probably deserved to have my eyes collapse sooner!

With work sucking me dry for the second week in a row, I'm very grateful that I managed to finish the floorplan of Heruvael's home and get my post blathering about his and t'DoL's home-building strategies up in my writing journal yesterday. At least SOME creative output in this exhausting week!

And I can't forget the goodies! I bought a candy bar at lunch from some fundraiser, then Dawn went and bought one for everybody as a Valentine's Day gift, then Nancy came up from scanning and gave everybody a sucker...and then I bought myself a bag of cheese & caramel popcorn for surviving the workweek. I deserve a treat!

Sounds like a terrible week! It's weeks like these that leave me feeling I could use a massage. I hope it lets up soon and that next week isn't as bad as you dread (or else perhaps a massage is in order?).

*hugs* I hope you take it easy over the weekend.

I sure hope this week isn't near as bad as last week. Urgh.

I'm afraid the prospect of a massage gets me as enthusiastic as that of thumbscrews and the rack. =P But I did try to take it easy, hopefully I've recharged enough! =)

Uff. Work's just not leaving you alone, is it? I hope things calm/settle down soon! This sounds utterly and entirely insane. O_O Is there any chance at all of hiring a temp to take some off the load off of everyone in the office?

It has been insane, and not just for me. I sure hope we can get an inter-company temp soon, but I don't know how much red tape/beaurocracy has to be waded through first. =P
