A beautiful day yesterday:
Made great time to Lassen Volcanic National Park, and no wrong turns, either! I definitely got my 'fix' of mountain driving with no shoulders/guardrails on the insane-spaghetti-noodle course of Highway 32!
We were blessed with simply splendid weather, and lovely temperatures.
Fell in love with the vivid blues of Lake Helen.
Delighted to get to see both American Dippers in the rushing waters of King's Creek, and Steller's Jays hanging out by the parking lots at King's Creek picnic area and Summit Lake.
Today we head through Lassen and then up to Crater Lake National Park in Oregon. We stay there three nights, with no internet access (or tv, etc), so I probably won't be posting here again until Friday morning in Ashland. =) See you later!
Wow, it all looks so fantastic! I'm enjoying the predominance of blue in the pictures--clear blue sky, clear blue water and the blue jay.
Hope you're having a wonderful time! I shall have to come back and catch up on the rest of your entries.
