Saturday was lovely:
My corner of the state got a good 5+ inches (13 cm) of snow on Friday night. It was the really light stuff, and no ice at all, thankfully. So I had a blast shoveling out the sidewalk and my car on Saturday morning, just a blast. =)
Also made for a really gorgeous drive to/from church on Sunday. Since there was pretty much no wind with this 'storm,' all the branches and trees were beautifully outlined with whiteness. It's been quite a winter already, and still only the beginning of December!
Also pleased that I got to finish chapter 22 of book 5 on Saturday, and get going with chapter 23 today. I'm getting really close to the 2nd-place mark with overall yearly word totals, and trying to not get too excited too soon...
And just for fun, here's a neat rendition of the 'Hallelujah Chorus' from Handel's Messiah as done by some 'silent monks.'
It has certainly been a treat to have it off to an early start, unlike that horrid 2006 when we didn't get snow until January!
Thanks! Glad to hear somebody sees them besides me! Just have to remember to put the last one up on Christmas Eve when I'm visiting. =)
