An eclectic batch of goodies:
Lunch with Christi on Monday, which was a lot of fun.
My car was STILL stuck in the ice that afternoon, but thankfully some neighbors helped me out, though it was so bad they had to hook a chain to my car and pull it out with their truck! Very grateful for their help, as it is sure nice to have food again!
Finished my 'Beside The Embers' illustration Monday evening, and I am very happy with it. Such a treat to have a picture I've anticipated doing for years (since I wrote the story in 2007) just fall into my lap with no crashes, memory issues, corrupt files, or even false steps! Just wow. And once I finish book 5 I can put it up with the story! *bouncebouncebounce*
I fell in love with the 'Lemonades' variety of Girl Scout cookies down in Florida, which aren't available in Minnesota. Thanks to eBay, I was able to buy three boxes, one of which I brought to work today to share. And my coworkers love them almost as much as me! =D
Also got treated to a beautiful sunrise this morning, all wispy pastels like Easter egg colors, and then the startling and delightful sight of two bluebirds perched in the small tree near my mailbox this afternoon. Wow, I'd have never guessed they'd come north so early.
I've never had it nearly that bad, it was amazing. Even 4-wheel drive would likley not have gotten me out of there!
I have no idea what those poor guys are going to eat, as bluebirds usually eat insects, not seeds. At least we're in a warming trend right now.
Thank God for helpful neighbors. Were they the ones from the house?
That must have been a lot of ice.
Glad you were able to get the cookies. It is amazing what you can get
OH! the poor bluebirds; they are so early. I hope they make it okay.
