Very grateful for a weekend! This workweek felt like it was 10 days long, no doubt because I'm so very excited and impatient for my upcoming week off.
It was nice to get both state and federal tax refunds within about a week of e-filing. I can see why people like it. ;)
Been watching prices at Dell for a bit on the system I'd picked out, and March 31 was the day some things moved...so I was able to step up my processor to 3.2GHz for $10 less than my planned 3.0Ghz. So I pounced! My long-awaited new pc should be coming in the next couple weeks to replace my geriatric six-year-old obsolete fellow here. For those interested here are the specs: 64 Bit Windows 7 OS, AMD Phenom II X6 1090T processor with a ATI Radeon HD 5450 1 GB graphics card. Memory is 8GB Dual Channel DDR3 SDRAM at 1333Mhz - 4 DIMMs. Hard drive is 1Tb, at 7200RPM, SATA of 3.0Gb/s and 16Mb Cache. Nothing too souped up because I can't afford that, but I'm pretty pleased, and it will doubtless feel like a dream compared to my current pc! (For visual sorts like me, here's a link with pictures and review.)
Friday was April Fool's, and I wish I'd had a camera to show you all what some of my coworkers did to our supervisor's desk! Everything was covered in newspaper! Including the floor and the walls, mouse, phone, stapler, monitor...you get the idea. Quite fun!
