J.R.R Tolkien/Christopher Tolkien's The Children of Hurin was published on April 17, and today my copy arrived in the mail.

     Let's see how long I can keep my hands offa this!

I might not be the most objective 'source' for that, seeing as I have all 12 volumes of Christopher Tolkien's HOME books, and basically have gobbled down every scrap of Tolkien's Middle-Earth writing, however rough or fragmentary. =) But I'll admit I was dubious when I first heard about it some time back.

I saw it in Borders today, and I must say the cover art looked lovely. I didn't look too closely though, as I was trying to resist temptation :D

I'm a-chicken, because it's an extremely dark, depressing story, and I'm not sure how I'm going to handle it right now. =P
