Hurrah for a payday Friday!
Now that it's warming up, I switched to sleeping on my air mattress Monday evening. It's been a bit of trouble adjusting to it, but once again I am very grateful to have it!
Some nice coupons showing up lately. A $10 one for Cornucopia after doing a survey on my recent Vue software upgrade, and a somewhat baffling $25 Slumberland one for my birthday month, though how they know that when I don't shop there, I can't fathom. But since it's good a whole year, I'm sure I'll find a way to use it!
Very happy and excited over how my big book 5 celebration commission is coming along. So nice seeing lots of progress shots!
Best of all, third time proved the charm on Thursday evening. After striking out my first time for too low an iron count, and my second time because my pesky vein in my left arm clotted up, I FINALLY succeeded with an apheresis donation in 2011! After the nurse's recommendation in April, I asked for a single-arm donation, and it went well. Takes a little longer because it's less efficient and I can only give a double and not a triple for that reason, but it sure beats not giving at all. Very happy to finally have a success under my belt!
Yes, I'm hoping I can give more as well! =)
I'm sure it will be done by August, I'm getting pretty close to the top of the queue, only one or two people ahead of me now.
And to think we'll be in Sequoia, God willing, two weeks from today!
