I have been looking forward to making these first two gushes for a while:
Firstly, being blessed with wonderful timing! Just a few weeks ago, while I was still planning my movie-poem project for t'DoL's birthday, Vimeo opened a music store where people can buy personal or commercial licenses for music to add to their videos. It was fantastic! Trying to figure out how to get music in my movie legally had been perplexing me, and now with that music store it's so easy to preview pieces and find one that fits and be supporting the original artist as well. Besides the fact that having music adds so much more than just a silent parade of images. My 'Twilight Rising' birthday gift is twice as fun with sound. Big hugs for Vimeo!
Second is walnuts. Or, my wonderful parents going out to that little place I found in the middle of nowhere near Live Oak California, and getting me a big bag of super-fresh super-yummy super-healthy walnuts to mail to me in Minnesota so I can share them with my coworkers. I've been looking forward to that for a while, so it's wonderful to finally have them and get to share them. And it's fun to crack the shells and try to get them out perfectly as well as entertaining to see the mess my coworkers make at it. ;) Yay!
I have had so much opportunity to laugh at myself lately. And now I'm doing it again. After the fun of adding text for my movie-poem to over 886 frames one at a time between Thursday evening and Sunday afternoon, I have now turned into a zombie and am trying to treat Microsoft Excel like it's Photoshop Elements!
"I was wondering how you were able to add the music to the video.
Music adds so much to the enjoyment of it.
So glad to hear you are enjoying your walnuts."
Yes, I quite agree the music really helps. And the non-commercial lisence is quite cheap, only $2--the commercial one is over $90.
Yes, we are all quite enjoying the walnuts. Sarin had fun cracking a bunch and refilling the bowl Monday after everyone else was gone. Thanks again for getting them!
