I am so glad we made it through today without missing turnaround on any fiche conversion work. After last Thursday's dreadful fiasco...and then having nearly triple the usual work volumes come in, I was afraid we were doomed to have more black marks on our record. I can't believe we actually managed to pull it off...
Grateful that I was able to get the Jan-Nov preliminary year-end reports done by the deadline, and with enough time to spare so that I could cover for Corey when he was elsewhere and do a bunch of fiche converting, at least when my boss wasn't calling me every 5 minutes or the witch-fiend server giving me 30-50 errors every 30 minutes.
Grateful for Shelley too! She's determined to pay me back for all of her work that I did, and has helped by taking some little stuff off my plate I didn't have time for. And did a processing run today I could never have managed on top of everything else.
On the non-work front, I'm now a little less obsolete! Reason being, paid to upgrade my DSL from 256k (0.256 Mbps) to 1.5 Mbps. So now I'm just 5-10 years behind the curve rather than 15, heh heh! But that's the fastest DSL my far from rich or cutting edge neighborhood can provide. Nice to be not so slow!
