Sunday was my 6+ hours of driving day, as I went up to Duluth to enjoy the cooler temps and the Park Point Art Fair. After the horrid damage to the area from the floods earlier in the week, it was both amazing and uncanny to see Lake Superior the color of liquid mud rather than its usual ocean hues.
The weather for the art fair was lovely, I spent too much, AND they had deep-fried cheese curds, yay!
Took Monday off because I couldn't take my birthday off. In the afternoon got out to see Pixar's Brave and had the extra delight of getting to see the Hobbit trailer beforehand. Both were just wonderful.
After that, did some scouting in Eagan, and was pleased to locate three of the park-and-ride lots (well, one is actually a ramp) check out the bike paths around some of the places I might move to, and then perform the extremely vital task of locating the Eagan Chipotle and getting myself a burrito. ;)
Hurrah for two four-day workweeks in a row!
