A pretty nice weekend:
It was great to go absolutely nowhere on Saturday. Days in which I don't even get out of my pjs are the best. On top of that, the joy of getting to add a new story to my What's cooking... page, hurrah!
After church, headed out to Afton State Park and did about five miles/8 km of hiking. My mom would be envious, because that place was seething with bluebirds! Well, a slight exaggeration, but whenever I wasn't in the deeply wooded areas, they were dashing around. I don't know if it was the light or the time of year, but the males were intensely vivid. Just a treat!
After that, I got to check out the new Trader Joe's that opened just this Friday. It was bigger and more spacious than the Woodbury one I used to shop at, and I was able to find everything I wanted--including the dried mangoes my cousin gave me in Virginia that I am now addicted to...
Last stop was the nearest branch of the county library, which is very nice, and startled me with the size of its movie collection. Got my library card, so now I can start reading and requesting books, yay!
Last but not least, managed to make a little progress with 'Delarun' chapter 8 of section two on Sunday evening. Here's hoping I can keep it up!
You certainly had a wonderful weekend and glad the weather is good.
I am jealous about the bluebirds. I was not aware that you could see so many at Afton. What a treat indeed.
Glad you starting to get back into 'Delarun'.
Hope your week goes well.
