I'm grateful I was able to find handwarmers and footwarmers at Target in advance of the March for Life last Tuesday. It was only 3 F/-16 C out, and getting those made it immensely more bearable. Also very proud of the nearly 2,000 others who showed up despite the cold.
While driving into work after 7 Saturday morning, I got to savor a beautiful sunrise. It was a treat, moreso because I spend 5-6 days a week seeing nothing but darkness at home/on my commutes. Nice to know the days are getting longer and at least in the mornings there will be some light soon.
On Sunday, my back was finally healed enough that I could fold up my futon again and put out my 'Never Alone' blanket that I am so insanely fond of. I have really, really been missing it. It is also a relief to finally have only intermittent back pain rather than the nearly-constant pain of the first half of the month.
I'm glad I'm so busy at work I don't have time to think about much of anything, because any other time I'm stressing about Shado and how he's going to cope with Arun's death. So far, he does not seem to have noticed anything amiss, for which I am very grateful. It helps it's winter and he spends most of his day huddled up on the electric heating pad!
