It was a huge treat to have the heat wave finally end on Sunday. I'd been watching the weather all week, and the cool down came sooner than the earliest forecasts. So wonderful to have the windows open at night!
The fabulous weather on Monday gave me a chance to get back to the State Fair for the morning of its final day. I parked at the nearest free parking lot, and walked (under a mile) instead of waiting on the free bus. It worked great! Got to get into a bunch of places I didn't get to the week prior (like the art building and the Senior Center), go into some buildings I rarely ever see, and do more shopping and eating. Tried out poutine and corn fritters, and did a retread of that wonderful Hawaiian dish. And since it was Monday, I also got a bucketful of Sweet Martha's cookies for the coworkers. My boss had remembered I used to have the 'tradition' of bringing them every year, so he will be pleasantly surprised this morning. =)
Monday afternoon was doing overtime at work, and though I didn't get as much done as I wanted, at least I got over a box scanned in...3 down, 13 to go...probably more to come...lots of long days/weekends ahead. But it was fun listening to music, browsing during the scans, and feasting on cookies!
Best of all, I'm very pleased with the progress I've made on chapter 7 of section 3 of 'TFE.' And I think, after dithering for months, that I've finally made up my mind on the pov for the last chapter of the section. Hopefully!
