Despite the fact I've had few hours not in the office of late, they have been disproportionately blessed with beautiful sights.
The sunset Friday night from 4:45 onward was stunning. I kept leaving my desk, snacks in hand, to take in a little more, and it kept changing and hanging on for quite a while.
I'd seen the glorious lit oak tree in the Little's backyard, once last year, then again the morning of Christmas Eve. On Saturday I was looking for it, so I got to see it pale against the twilight sky as I drove to the park and ride, and then was treated to a lovely pastel sunrise on the bus downtown. Worked from 8 to 5:30 and when I got back to the park and ride I went looking for it. I should have brought my camera because I found my way to their driveway and feasted my eyes for a while, along with other 'pilgrims.' It's definitely going to become a seasonal ritual for me--too bad it's far too cold to risk driving the rest of this year.
Some great progress with 'TFE' edits and tweaks over the past five days, and I'm right at the brink of launching into verbal edits. Feels great!
After all these crazy hours at work, I am fast approaching my first deadline--Dec 31st is when my BD configs are supposed to be done. I may not quite be ready, but at least BD isn't ready either. It will be nice to get a few days of semi-reprieve (maybe) before the testing/bloodletting begins in earnest Jan 6.
