Just because I've been busy with monthly and yearly summaries at my misc LJ doesn't mean there aren't plenty of 'gushes' to share here.

Work has been quite a roller-coaster the past weeks with the ups of accomplishments and the downs of setbacks or things breaking. But it was a HUGE blessing to have six workdays with only 1 meeting between them all. As a result, those days have almost been as productive as Saturdays, and it has proven an amazing help.

Did three hours of work New Year's morning with great results, and Thursday I should be able to wrap up the loose ends that I am able to at this point. It feels almost eerie to think of turning my attention to items other than this huge project, but I just may get to start doing that (at least part-time) soon!

A bit of struggle with the WFA on the job over the past week, and my old boss Bill was so kind (and so bored) as to come down Tuesday and help me troubleshoot it. Turns out I broke it myself a few months back doing P8 configs. Now it's working again, and now I know the implications for future P8 transitions. Quite grateful to him!

Besides abundant work, these recent days have also abounded with goodies, thanks to the generosity of my wonderful aunt and also of my brother and sister-in-law, who sent me a box stuffed with delights. I've been quite enjoying them at work during the long 10.5 hour workdays. And I haven't even touched the fruitcake or date bread my mom sent me! Whoohoo--I'm RICH! =D

The weather is nuts, and the crazy cold has not been devoid of entertainment. Apparently, -9 is what t'DoL considers 'bracing' and 'a nice temperature for a day of hard physical labor.' Then there's the neighbor barbequeing on their deck today, even though it only got up to 5 or so outside. Crazy, crazy. Maybe they're part avarii too! =P
