The good stuff:
Had a bit of a nervous latter part of the week, due to Shado getting sick. Wednesday morning he had no interest in eating, Wednesday night he had no interest in moving, but I found puddles of vomit in various places, so he had gotten around at some point. Quite worried by Thursday morning, but thank God sometime Thursday he started drinking and was well enough to eat part of a meal Thursday evening and a bigger meal during the day Friday. What a relief!
Got my massive Federal tax return already, yippee!
It was a treat to get a Valentine's card from my mom's friend Linda, that was in part a thank-you card for the calendar I gave her, and her telling me what it reminds her of. I will cherish that. Also a treat to get treats from various coworkers on Friday, and my boss Sarah brought in a ton of goodies from Panera to share. Best of all was the package I got from my parents after work. I am sure looking forward to eating my way through that!
I'm burned out to the point that I can't do much besides work and I can't bother to try to hide it at work, (and I am getting sick of daily stomach aches but counting my blessings that I haven't gotten the ulcers I fully deserve). That's one reason Sarah amusingly blocked me from doing work on the back-end batch this weekend, in hopes of stopping me from going into work. I'm not, but I still came up with a sizeable list of other stuff that needs doing from home. The other reason being that the next two Saturdays are going to be mandatory-at-work days for a lot of people, as we're finally coming down to the wire. The big implementation is set for midday of Friday, February 28th!
