The skies have been clear enough of late that I've gotten to enjoy the moon, before and after its full, in both the evenings and the mornings. Beautiful.
While walking to the park and ride on Friday morning, I heard a brief fragment of cardinal song. The more amazing, and seemingly out-of-place, after such an intense winter.
Made a fabulous amount of progress on 'TFE' edits over the weekend, and the labor has proven that the book needs the additional run-through. But best of all was having enough time and energy to manage a tiny start on the short story 't'ACm 405' Sunday evening. So good to finally have some writing done in 2014!
Today brings me to the 21st anniversary of first 'meeting' my beloved t'DoL. I'm grateful I got the anniversary post done in time (and linked to my Beginnings page), as it was touch-and-go there for a while, between a lack of time, energy, and inspiration. Also very grateful that I have the next three years of anniversary post topics picked out, so that shouldn't happen again anytime soon!
I found a wonderful C.S. Lewis quote on my Twitter feed a few days back:
Affection is responsible for nine-tenths of whatever solid and durable happiness there is in our natural lives. - CS Lewis
And sitting here savoring the marvel of knowing and loving t'DoL and all his 'world' for 21 years makes me vividly aware of just how stunningly true those words are. I am so blessed!!
