Friday was the 'big day' at last, with the implementation of the BD project I've been spending far too many hours on since October. And while there are a handful of things that need tweaking in my project, and plenty of improvements to be made with processing efficiencies, and though it's going to take the four new additions to my department a while to get up to speed with the software, overall the transition has been amazing. So blessed to have no major script issues, and to have (thanks to all those evenings and Saturdays at training) the new folks adjusting better/faster than I expected.
Since we were swamped with no time to eat lunch Friday, the downstairs supervisor very kindly got pizza for us, and I very happily stuffed my face. We came in on Saturday to train and get a leg up on Monday's volume, and there was leftover pizza for lunch. I actually wasn't needed much at all, which meant I was able to make over half of the fixes for things that came up Friday, and not feel bad about not doing any work from home this weekend.
SO NICE to have 'warm' weather and clear roads! After so much dealing with ice, black ice, hard-packed snow, and ghastly driving conditions in general, it was such a treat to drive to work on Saturday and to church Sunday and have only puddles to deal with.
I got three huge compliments between Friday and Saturday on my work. My boss's boss, my boss, and from Rob (the engineer who supports Kofax) as well. (Who I consider pure awesome genius, so that one left me dumbfounded.) A treat that they were all written, so that I can treasure them. Thank you, God, for gifts given in MY love language!!!
