Lots of delights:
It was neat to get home from Sacramento and have my first full day be only in the 60s. That's more like it! ;)
Also a treat to get back and found my garden had gone crazy in my absence. Nearly everything is thriving and growing a lot, thanks to good soil, abundant rain, and moderate temperatures. Neat! (Sorry no photos yet, this weekend is all rain.)
The big publish I'd expected to have to do my first day back at work (and stay until 8 pm or worse) ended up getting delayed, for which I am much relieved.
Happy to get my third short story for this year 'You Find What You Look For' up and linked from my Portal Page. A milestone too, but more on that another time.
This afternoon I saw X-Men: Days of Future Past for the second time, and once again was struck by how deeply encouraging it is to me personally (and nice to have a plot that hinges around moral choices rather than just blowing things up). Also delighted by how much fun I've had with movies this year. Noah, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, and Edge of Tomorrow I've also quite enjoyed, and it's only June!
Yes, they're all ready. Let me know if you can't access any of them.
Too much! A few inches over the weekend, more last night, and we're due for more the next two days. Ponds and rivers are really full. But at least not as bad as elsewhere in the state.
