It has been a really awful, stressful, nasty workweek, but there are always bright spots (aside from payday Friday, yay!):

It's a treat to get serenaded by a catbird nearly every morning as I pass a small pond on my way to the park and ride lot. He's nearly always at the top of a tree singing his heart out, and it is a delightfully cheery sound to get the morning under way.

I may not like summer, and this week has been hard on me due to my 'new' air mattress not even lasting a month, but...I love the Farmer's Market goodies! Between the market downtown and the one in my suburb, within the past two weeks I've gotten lettuce, spinach, kale, strawberries, radishes, potatoes, broccoli, green beans, and onions. Yum!

Shado has changed his outdoor patterns because he just loves watching the hummingbird come to the feeder I put up. He spends less time in the hammocks and more in the 'chute' section of the enclosure so he can get a really good view. She appears to ignore him, but she always drinks from the side where she can face him, and be a little further away. So everybody's happy except she views me as a trespasser on HER deck. At least I'm not out there much on the weekdays!

It's been quite a while, but yesterday I saw the cute 'Interstate Truck Driving School' truck as I walked to the park and ride. I get a kick out of seeing it every time, and it's given me ideas for Renewer Rising with these little 'niche' companies that are needed but readily overlooked (and fairly dispersed). Of the three Renewer Rising characters who have been in my head for nearly 20 years, I still don't know the occupation of one of them, and every time I see that truck, it gives me something to ponder...
