The weekend was too busy and too fast, but it had some great highlights:
So it's a month and a half after my summer season started, but I finally got my Vue software upgrade completed and began wading into the training book that I hope will help me improve. Excited to get back into it!
On Saturday afternoon I got out to see Dawn of the Planet of the Apes and enjoyed it immensely. Also enjoyed that it takes place just south of the Point Reyes area, where I started my trip back in June. Now I want to rewatch the first one...
Sunday afternoon I had lunch with the Towners and got to relive my vacation by showing them the photos I took. It was a very nice time.
The week is off to a great start with a streak of remarkably cool weather for the middle of July. Today was a record cool day, and I tried to enjoy it to the hilt by doing extra walking during lunch and getting off the bus further from home--4.5 miles total in such delicious 60s in July! Also very much appreciating the fact that there have been two-day periods of dry weather at times of late before more of the insufferable rain. There might even be a three or four-day dry streak this week!
