The temperatures have jumped from feeling like October to the end of December, which has given me ample opportunity to enjoy my new winter coat this week. Very, very nice!
On Tuesday the P8 Core Team (including myself) got treated to an expensive lunch at Fogo De Chao (a Brazilian steakhouse) to recognize the hard work we put into the P8 project over the last year or so. I was good and just did the salad bar, and it was a treat to have key lime pie for dessert! Everybody had a good time.
My boss came back from her vacation Monday (for which I was very glad as all sorts of things went wrong while she was gone that I didn't have the authority to manage). It was her idea to start doing a daily 'stair challenge': from our 6th floor up to the 13th floor, then down to the 2nd floor, then back up to 6th. It's been both fun and challenging. I'm in good enough shape to be pretty fine and not get sore afterward, but not in good ENOUGH shape to not feel it at all--room for improvement!
On Thursday the test scanner and attached pc and monitors got moved out of my cube so it can be more easily shared without people having to cram into my area...which means I now have over double the desk space I had before. After being cramped for so long, it feels very strange...but I have little doubt I'll be able to clutter it all up. ;)
Trying to not get too excited...six days and counting to t'DoL's birthday! =D
