It has been so nice to have some strengthening predawn light on my walks to the park and ride lately. Sure helps with spotting where the ice is and being able to walk faster. Looking forward to enjoying it for few weeks before wretched Daylight Savings kicks in.
An amusing coincidence that my 22nd anniversary date happened to fall on Fat Tuesday. That meant I got to enjoy sweets, treats, delicious fruit drinks, and games before the onset of Lent. It was a great day.
Very grateful for my wonderful heating pad, especially on days like Wednesday, when I needed to use it both ways, because it was -9 with a -28 wind chill in the morning for my walk to the park and ride, but still cold at -1 with a -22 wind chill for heading home (with the wind in my face). Also grateful that since the prevailing winds are usually NW, I get screened by trees for nearly 1 mile of my 1.4 mile morning walk. That's a huge blessing with those sorts of wind chills!
On Thursday, the SFIG area reported an issue with a small project I made for them that was very concerning, because there was no way to resolve it that seemed easy (the project is set up to be entirely automated and it needs to stay that way). I was toying with a "plan A" over my lunchbreak but not very happy with it because it wouldn't be infallable. So I decided to pray for a better idea...and got one before I even finished my mental prayer! It was very strange and 'outside-the-box' and I thought it would be a lot of work, so I told God "Thanks, but I like plan A better." Then plan A got shot down by the business area tech person, so...instead of taking a lot of struggle/time as I had feared, Plan B fell into my lap in 5 minutes and could compress down to a single, elegant line of script. SO AWESOME! And THANK YOU GOD!! I'm so grateful for all the times He's given me genius ideas at work.
