Recent blessings:

So glad, after a few setbacks, that I can use the second editing software I need for pass 4 of my first Geren novel. Had trouble with it in my main pc, but it works perfectly when launched from a pen drive. I'm so grateful for the people who come up with resources like this too, regardless of the price, it is worth it!

Looked out the window Friday morning before 5:30 am and was shocked and delighted to see a wild turkey strolling down the driveway near the parking lot. That was a treat!

Work has been awful, so awful I drove in today and did 4+ hours of overtime...but at least I could reward myself for that misery by walking over to Afro Deli for some Somali rice, falafel, and sweet plantains to take home for a late lunch/early dinner. NOM NOM NOM!

I had a doctors' appointment on Thursday--figured I should get a physical since I'm turning 40 this month. And to my delight, my test results were already in the mailbox today. My cholesterol is even better than it was 5 years ago, and my (first ever) blood sugar test came back good as well. Thank you, God!

Last but not least, can't forget to mention receiving a pair of packages from my wonderful aunt! She sent them early so I can have time to EAT ALL THE GOODIES before I head off on my vacation. =)
