This week it's back to summer, alas, but last Wednesday it was so cool I had my best sleep in months, and I could see my breath as I walked to the park and ride in the morning!
The nights are definitely getting longer, which is also quite nice for sleeping--I can leave some light blocks up to help with airflow through the windows.
Last Thursday at the Farmers' Market they didn't have the banana bread I was planning to get...so instead I've been enjoying some blueberry lemon bread! What a great combination!
Saturday was a treat. I got out to the Minnesota State Fair, and it started cool (50s) and stayed cloudy the entire morning! Had fun with shopping and browsing through the crafts and art displays, and of course the food! Tried out falafel-on-a-stick and it wasn't bad at all, but my favorites remain the Hawaiian stir-fry and the deep-fried cheese curds. Also enjoyed a bag of mini-donuts and some local apple cider. In the Agriculture/Horticulture building there were displays of gladiolus, and I was entranced by a cultivar with flowers like black velvet, just stunning! I'm quite looking forward to going back next weekend, weather permitting.
Very happy to finally get unstuck with the last Triune prep-story, Renegade, and make some progress on it Friday and Sunday evening. Getting closer!
