My three-day weekend is wrapping up, and had some real treats:
On Friday my side of the department had lunch at the Kristos (Greek food) lunch buffet. It was a really good time!
Saturday had gorgeous weather, with highs in the low 60s. I got Shado in for his yearly checkup at the vet, and he got a good report, yay! Then I headed over to the Renaissance Festival, and got to enjoy my favorite spinach pie, along with the fun of canine costume contest and wiener dog races (yes!). And I found my car afterward, amid the sea of cars with no signs or markers (I'd forgotten to make a mental note, which was bad).
A treat while driving home from church Sunday--flocks of white pelicans soaring in circles over the Minnesota River, getting ready for migration.
Monday was my day off, and the big day. Got enough done with work on my outline, notes, (and new animated avatar) that I was able to kick off writing my ninth novel, Dark Wings over Triune, AT LAST!!! It won't be fast progress since I'm so horribly busy the rest of this month, but it is so great to be moving at last!
