I'm glad this weekend was better than the one prior, if equally frantically busy.
Grateful to be feeling better Sunday, because this last bout of the female curse, though not painful, really got everything out of whack. Glad that the headache, suppressed appetite, and other issues are gone.
So I couldn't get started as soon as I wanted due to feeling ghastly, but I'm delighted I was able to reach my goal of getting chapter 9 of DWoT written this weekend, thanks in large part to my progress Sunday morning before church. Now I'm right around the 1/3 mark!
While driving to the Towners Sunday, I was blessed and delighted to see a black squirrel cross the street ahead of me! I love those, and they always remind me of the Black Prince.
So my get-together with the Towners ended up being a bit different than I expected (lunch with their granddaughter Scarlett along at Noodles, Inc) but it was great to learn what's been going on lately--lots of good news. What was expected to be a single trip down to the Mayo Clinic for Joe's Alzheimers turned into days of countless tests, and they were heading back down again Sunday to be there for a super-early appointment Monday morning. What blessings to live within two hours of such a fabulous resource, that Joe got selected, and might even be part of a clinical trial, and to live in a state with such great medical care. Also got to hear the Providence-laden story of how Joe got an upgrade for his expensive smart phone at Sam's Club for less than a dollar! It was a good time.
