Monday got the week off to a delicious start, because the downstairs supervisor decided to celebrate her 15th service anniversary by inviting her boss and my team to the Greek restaurant downtown for their fabulous lunch buffet. Topped off by their wonderful baklava, of course! It was a good time.
On Tuesday I took the day off so I could get to the doctor to get my lingering cough checked out. Found out it was nothing concerning, and enjoyed using the extra time for errands and a project at home before heading over to the Towners that evening. Grateful for safe travel as well, with a high of 0 and light snow the previous evening making for some slippery roads and keeping me skittish over black ice.
A treat on Thursday morning. Last week, I submitted my 'Joy in the Journey' 2016 calendar image to Vue for their daily contest. I didn't win that, but I did get the picture in their "Cream of the Crop" gallery on Cornucopia. What I discovered today was the delight of seeing it embedded in the rotating image on their Cornucopia website, AND that I got a $10 voucher for their store as well. What a pleasant surprise!
