So grateful for a payday Friday and the end of an unpleasant workweek!
Feeling lots of gratitude for heat and electricity over last weekend and the early part of the week, as there were a few days in a row where it only got UP to around zero out. My cough had mostly cleared up, but came back with the extreme dry air, but once the cold broke my lungs started getting better again. Grateful for that!
Have to again express my gratitude for the pill pockets that are helping so much with Shado's abundant medications. He's on 4 pills a day, and I'm having tentative success with giving him 3 at night and 1 in the morning, since his appetite has been quite bad in the mornings. Also grateful that I can get the pill pockets nearly 50% cheaper if I order them as an add-on at Amazon.com.
My coworker Dawn treated six of us with a fabulous lunch on Tuesday. She wanted to share her enjoyment of a chicken recipe she grew up loving that her mom made, so she made us a whole bunch of chicken, mashed potatoes, cole slaw, and wrapped it up with some fabulous apple pie. What a treat!
Blessed by a 'balmy' 20 degree day, just like last year, as I headed up to the capital for the 2016 MCCL March for Life. For the first time in the years I've gone, it was not held in front of the capitol building (or inside), as that is all closed off for renovations. It was across the street instead, and blessed by a great turnout. The battle against the slaughter of the innocents has proven a long haul indeed, back to before I was born, but I pondered how long some struggles against slavery took, and abortion is a greater evil even than slavery. We must persevere until such a abomination is ended, or Christ returns!
