A week ago at the park and ride lot, I got to hear my first cardinal song for this year, and I've heard him a couple times since. I always find it wonderful, especially when it's super cold and snow everywhere, that he still knows the spring is coming.
Thrilled last Saturday to hear good news about Joe's time at Mayo Clinic and successful surgery. Thank you, God!
So the wonderful Valentine's Day package from my parents didn't arrive until Tuesday (thanks to President's Day), but that was still great timing! Very much enjoyed the pecan pie and the delicious apple bread won't last long. Thanks so much!
Drove to work Tuesday so I could stop at Trader Joe's afterward and spend the gift card I got for Christmas. All sorts of goodies to help celebrate a special day--and my dinner that night was their Porcini Mushroom Lasagna, which I really enjoyed and wish I'd tried out years sooner. Looking forward to enjoying the rest of my delicious haul over the next few weeks!
Wednesday was great. I took the day off in part so I could submit my passport application, but that went very quick and smooth. Which meant I got to spend the rest of the day happily celebrating my 23rd anniversary of the day I first 'met' t'DoL, my life's passion, and my life's work. It was wonderful. Worked on two different art projects related to my book 2 avatar, did some exercise, and spent time in my 'happy place' listening to music that reminds me of my characters/stories while doing a puzzle of art of my characters. Also enjoyed Trader Joe's guacamole, my mom's apple bread, and other treats. And yes, some book 2 editing progress as well, and reading for fun in book 5. Just a wonderful day.
It is hard to believe it is 23 years anniversary already.
Two more years for the big 25th one.
Did you write a story or easy for it?
It sounds like you had a wonderful day yesterday. Glad
to hear you are enjoying the goodies.
I miss the cardinals. Remember the pair that every
year to our house.
Yes, I'm not letting myself get excited until I reach 24 years...
I plan to do an essay in June, so nothing now, but thanks for asking! =)
Yes, either the cardinals or the chickadees were building nests, or the sparrows too. Those fledglings sure got into trouble!
