I've been riding the bus to/from my job regularly since 1999, and Thursday was the first time I was in a bus accident that was more than a minor fender-bender (and only been in one of those). I'm very glad the massive coach bus hit the car in front, instead of the driver's side a few feet back; very glad that for us on the bus only a few cell phones, etc, went flying, and the jolt was no worse than when the driver slams on the brakes because someone cut in front and he saw them...this time he did not. Very glad that it was not worse, because it easily might be. Very grateful as well for so many years without incident.
Thrilled to find out that I'm eligible for a property tax rebate this year! It's been a few years since I last got one, and my income will probably be too high in the future (which is a blessing in itself).
Most of all, I am grateful for the major blessing of distractions as a long-dreaded day approaches. Finding out that my lease expires July 31st rather than in August just last Sunday kicked my moving plans into high gear. I also have the blessing of getting to do a giveaway on the Windstone Forum which will be a comfort in the week ahead.
And pass 3 of the second Geren book is done, whew!
