It's been nice to have it light enough in the mornings now that I can read from a magazine while I wait for the bus. Also fun to see how crazy fast everything is getting green now with all the rain of late.
April 14 brought the six year anniversary of the biggest accomplishment of my life with the five Geren books, and it's been a special personal day for me since 1989. But since it falls on Good Friday this year, I can't properly observe it. However, I did treat myself out to lunch at Italia Pasta express the day beforehand, and I'll be celebrating a little more with my day off on Monday the 17th. Lunch was delicious!
Thursday was interesting because it also brought my first experience in the video conferencing room, as we were meeting with someone from one of the Canadian companies my employer recently acquired. I loved the shape of the table so that everyone is at least somewhat visible...and Rob skulking about out of the camera's view since he showed up late!
To my delight, the long-anticipated custom lamp shades for my bedroom that I'd ordered from Etsy got delivered to my place on Friday, no trip to the post office needed. I'm really liking them; now I just need to get correct size harps, an adapter, and some finials--so no photos quite yet!
