So grateful for the precious peace of God this week after having to make a very painful decision, so grateful it's a payday Friday, and for a precious handful of joys:

Loving my RightNow Media lunchtime sessions that I do some days at work and sometimes on the weekend. Blessed to rewatch all of David Platt's 'Radical' series, and review the changes I made in my life since I saw it the first time. Some of those messages are the most amazingly convicting of any I've heard--must come back for thirds sometime! And now I'm enjoying his series on the Holy Spirit, and envying the folks who got to spend six hours in one night when it was filmed live. That must have been incredible.

Another blessing: my attention was grabbed by a book on my Amazon start page in the related to items viewed area. The title was so unique (Crash the Chatterbox) and the description so fit something I'd just been talking to God about, that I had to use some of my Amazon credit card points to get it. Thursday I finished reading it, and I'm so grateful for the providence that led me to find it. Some points almost made me laugh it felt like the author was looking right at me, taking an example from my own life. So even though it's only the end of April, I've already been blessed by two amazing books I will have to reread again and very soon!

This doesn't get mentioned here enough, though I thank God for it almost every day. The wonderful bus service where I live! My ride is longer now, since I get on the bus near the beginning of the route. That means I can sit in back, pick a good seat, and get a nice chunk of reading or editing work done. It's paying off now in spades--I'm moving through pass 3 in the third Geren book a fair bit faster than I did with the second Geren book a year ago. What a treat!

My Thursday morning walk to the bus stop was amazing. It was snowing!! Right on the verge of being jumbo snow too! I was blessed by the timing, since it stopped when I reached my bus stop. But what a treat to see snow on the vivid green grass of springtime and get a last sweet reminder of winter.

Blessed, yet again, to stumble across a song that really speaks to where I'm at, and will serve as a fabulous anthem for 2017 (though the year is young enough I might find more). From 'Even If' by MercyMe:

I know You're able and I know You can
Save through the fire with Your mighty hand
But even if You don't
My hope is You alone
I know the sorrow, and I know the hurt
Would all go away if You'd just say the word
But even if You don't
My hope is You alone
