Had a good time with the Towners Tuesday evening and got to see photos of Joe's trip to San Diego with his brother for a twins study, and hear about how much they enjoyed it. And the neat "coincidence" of them spotting a large fishing boat named for the Norton Sound, which is near Nome, Alaska where they grew up!
Wednesday was wonderful. My boss Sarah was back from her trip to Europe, so we made it through 2.5 weeks without her. Also, I finished Pass 3 with Geren book 3, and I'm still running ahead of schedule. Not only that, but the day brought me to 24.25 years since I first 'met' t'DoL, and I've been looking forward to that number. Whoot!
Loads of storms, rain, and humidity finally brought a drop in the temperature which I am very much appreciating. I'm also counting my blessings that I don't live in a place where I have to be concerned about flooding.
To my delight, my teammates are taking today's monthly publish. I'm grateful for that, because that means I didn't have to drive into work, and I'll be able to go home and have time for dinner before the singles' group meeting.
Moolah blessings too. I already found out what my rise in rent will be when my lease expires. Not thrilled it's going up, but also not surprised, and I'm pleased I know enough in advance to build it into my new budget. (Also very pleased that even though my lease will switch to month-to-month, they won't raise the rent again for another year.) Today's the day I got the awaited news--3% pay raise starts June 1st, thank you God!
