It is emphatically over now, but what a treat to have some really cool days at the end of May. I got my place down to 61/62 a couple nights, which was delicious.
A fun sight for my last couple walks to the bus stop. There are some large female cottonwood trees in the area, with the result that there's so much seed there are mini "snowdrifts" of it in places, and some yards look like a light snowfall. It is amazing to consider how one of the biggest trees in the state can come from such a minuscule seed.
A surprise on Thursday when I got back from a meeting--a gift on my desk. A nice card and a bromeliad plant in thanks for all the help I provided with test scanning for a big FIG project. Very nice of them! Let's see if I can keep the plant alive long enough to see it bloom...
On Thursday, somebody noticed that Friday was "National Donut Day" with the result that Sarah, Anna, and Tammy all brought in donuts from different bakeries. That was quite a treat!
A really warm Saturday is great for escaping to the nicely air conditioned movie theater--to see Wonder Woman, which was a lot of fun.
