Got a gift earlier this week--God answered half of one of my big 4 prayer requests I've been praying over morning, noon, and night for around a month now. So...I guess I may soon be progressing with the darkest story on my 'What's Cooking' list, and finally write the awful tragedy of Hu-Havenn (Hileko's mom, Heruvael's mate). Fitting, considering the sort of year I'm having!
Thursday was my birthday, and I spoiled my coworkers by bringing in bagels, pastries, a bunch of my homemade granola and yogurt to have with it. Feasting enjoyed by many! (And recipe handed out to two more, so far.)
It worked out great to drive into work Thursday because not only was it convenient for hauling up my cooler and bags of yummies, but then I could just drive to the Red Cross afterward for my 6 pm platelet donation. Thank God, my iron was high enough (on the second try), the digging around for the pesky vein in my left arm didn't take long, and the donation succeeded! Knowing that doing a donation on my birthday would make t'DoL happy made it twice as special. =)
Can't forget the delight of birthday wishes from near and far. I've never gotten a birthday email from my church before! And the email with a free popcorn credit from my movie theater was a nice surprise too. And emails and voicemails from friends and family...can't forget the landlord, ha ha. Or the goodies in the package my parents sent I'm looking forward to savoring. It was great!
